Parent FAQ’s

It is our desire to partner with parents to help equip our students to become fully-formed followers of Jesus Christ. Below are some frequently asked questions we have answered to help better understand what you can expect from Student Ministries.

Join us every Wednesday night from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM for small groups! On Sundays, we offer a middle school service at 11:30 AM in Auditorium 4, while the high school section watches the sermon together in Auditorium 1 at the same time. Have questions? We’d love to hear from you! Call us at (760) 200-2000 or email students@southwestchurch.com. We’re excited to welcome your teen to our community!

We take your student’s safety seriously. Our top priority is creating secure environments and experiences for them. We’re intentional about security and accountability—every event and opportunity has specific policies and procedures that all participants must follow.

Wellspring Students is here to partner with parents through helpful conversations, resources, and even counseling! A great start is connecting your student with a small group. We believe no one should do life alone, and every student needs the support of a healthy small group community— one that’s there for them, challenges them, and fosters authentic faith. Need more help? Feel free to contact us at students@southwestchurch.com. We’d love to talk with you!

No, we offer separate programs for middle school and high school students on Wednesday Nights to ensure each developmental stage is addressed appropriately. This separation allows us to tailor our content and activities to the specific needs and interests of each age group. By providing age-specific programs, we can create more meaningful and engaging experiences for both middle school and high school students.

Absolutely! The best way to stay informed about these dates is to subscribe to our monthly newsletter, parent text notifications, and/or follow us on Instagram.

Wednesday nights serve as our high school service. On Sundays, high school students sit together in Auditorium 1 for the main service at 11:30 AM.

We have an amazing student ministry team dedicated to helping students grow in their relationship with God. Genesis Cruz (genesisc@southwestchurch.com) leads the middle school ministry, while Huntr McMillan (huntrm@southwestchurch.com) leads the high school ministry. We also have faithful volunteers serving as small group leaders every week who are available to you. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
