Our Progress

A legacy of Transformation

For over 50 years, you have helped write a story of lives transformed by the Gospel right here in the Coachella Valley. Now, you can help create brand-new opportunities for families, seekers, and disciples to encounter Jesus in spaces built just for them.

You know the need is real. The thirst in your community is unmistakable. It’s young families searching for connection… Individuals longing for purpose… Neighbors craving hope.

You can help turn Wellspring into a place where hearts are refreshed by living water.

The Vision

Ongoing Ministry:

Support existing ministries & facilities

This $33 million fully funds the ongoing ministry of Wellspring through the end of 2028.

It supports weekend services, next-generation ministries, discipleship, pastoral care, local outreach, and global missions—all to help people encounter Jesus every step of the way.

Total need: $33 million

Phase 1:

A New Sanctuary & Gathering Spaces

Create a new sanctuary bursting with worship and proclaiming the Good News.

Help families and friends connect in an expansive new lobby housing one of the largest indoor playground in the world — a welcoming hub all week long.

Total need: $71 million – Phase 1

Phase 2:

Athletic Fields & Community Facilities

Build athletic fields, pickleball courts, bocce courts, walking trails, and dog parks — places for relationships to form and the love of God to be experienced.

Total need: $19 million – Phase 2

“You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.”

— Ephesians 2:19-21

Stories and Updates

Why Now?

Our community is bursting with people searching for hope and belonging. The time is now to provide spaces where they can encounter Jesus and grow in Him.

“The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death, light has dawned.”
— Matthew 4:16

Every day we wait is another day families search for connection, individuals long for purpose, and neighbors crave hope. Together, we can answer that call.

FAQs

It’s a church-wide vision to create space—physically and spiritually—for more people to encounter Jesus. It includes new worship spaces, family and youth environments, and community-focused areas. It’s more than a building campaign; it’s about discipleship, outreach, and long-term stewardship, so the people of the Valley are transformed.

Because God is already sending people, our spaces are full, and we have a timely opportunity to steward growth well. This is about faith, preparation, and meeting real needs in our Valley.

Over three full years (2026-2028) our goal is to raise $123 million dollars to fully fund the church’s annual budget and all of its active ministry outreach and programs, as well as build a new sanctuary, chapel, remodel our current space, and build athletic facilities to make room to reach our community.

Phase One focuses on worship and next-generation spaces, and Phase Two expands community and outreach areas. Each phase moves forward as resources become available. Our desire is to have everything completed by 2028.

The project is phased and designed to move forward as God provides. Leadership is committed to financial health and won’t overextend the church.

It’s designed as a three-year journey, giving people time to pray and participate as God leads. This allows all of us to give immediately or make multi-year commitments over the three-year campaign.

A ONE FUND campaign combines regular giving and campaign giving into one unified expression of generosity. It allows us to fully support the ongoing ministry of the church while also investing in future growth, ensuring we stay healthy and mission-focused every step of the way.

We believe in celebrating what God is doing through all of us. Donors will receive regular updates through services, digital communication, and online resources that highlight progress, milestones, and the impact of generosity.

Wellspring’s goal is to complete the Encounter Project debt-free, moving forward as funds are provided. If needed, we may consider a short-term bridge loan to responsibly manage cash flow, pay contractors on time, and protect the project from rising costs. Any loan would be temporary and carefully overseen, with a continued commitment to long-term financial integrity.

Yes. Wellspring Church is committed to integrity, accountability, and faithful stewardship. Financial reporting and oversight are part of our regular practices, and information is presented to our members at the annual meeting.

The new sanctuary will hold 3,250 people which is a massive upgrade from our current capacity of 1,400—allowing us to make room for those who will encounter Jesus—many for the first time.

Many of the new spaces are designed to welcome the community in all week long—building relationships, offering safe places for families and youth, and opening doors for the Gospel.

A Beautiful Encounter

Join What God is Building

Every act of generosity helps build spaces where lives encounter Jesus.

“Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord.”
