Cherish Uganda is a faith-based nonprofit organization that focuses on creating hope and a future for children with HIV/AIDS. Their main goal is to change the story that says once you have been diagnosed with HIV there is no hope. Cherish believes that through the process of discipleship with the love of Jesus, a sense of family, and good medical care and nutrition…everything changes!

Since 2006, Wellspring Church has sent four short-term teams to Cherish. Wellspring also donated funds to help establish their Health Clinic in 2015. Most recently, we sent a team in 2018 to observe discipleship strategies at Cherish and assist with a community VBS outreach.

Hands of Mercy helps connect churches in the U.S. with churches in México. On the US side, this is accomplished through the prefabrication of everything needed to assemble a 12×12 Loft House. In México, Hands of Mercy has partnered with sister ministry YUGO Ministries for hosting groups and facilitating the assembly of the Loft House. Their goal is to spread the name of Jesus in the US and México and to encourage participants in their walk. The houses became the opportunity for us to support pastors in México who are reaching their communities for Jesus.

Since 2004, Wellspring has partnered with Hands of Mercy and provided more than 200 homes to families in the Ensenada area. In our current economy, each home costs $4,500-5,000 for materials and transport, meaning Wellspring has invested more than $800,000 over the last 20 years.
